The South Coast Volunteer Fire Department uses the equipment that is owned by the South Coast Fire Protection District.
The South Coast District owns twelve pieces of equipment:
Two Type I fire engines (used for fighting structure fires) |
Four Type III fire engines (used mainly for wildland fires) |
Three tenders (transport large amounts of water for the fire engine to pump) |
Two medical squads (transport medical supplies and medical personnel) |
One command vehicle (allows Chief to organize and communicate) |
Additional Emergency Resources are provided by Coast Life Support District and several helicopter services |
